This page has been created to correct information previously published by Wikipedia This refers specifically to false information stemming from "Whos Who of Australian Rock and Roll" By Chris Spencer which incorrectly lists the members of James Wright Band. Through oversight this false list of members originally came from "SA its our music" by David Day and was never corrected.
Chris Spencer has since updated his database and corrected this mistake and intends to publish the correct information in "The Australian Music Museum" magazine in the next issue.
The inclusion of Louise and Half a minute in John Swan's Discography and biography has caused some personal grief and discomfort for the original members and needed to be publicly addressed, as it fostered misinformation and seemingly discounted the absolute truth of the real facts.
I strongly object to the removal of this page for those reasons. SA Rock Historian (talk) 05:12, 6 December 2008 (UTC)
Chuck Berry
[edit]Some six or ten years ago I heard on ABC radio 891 an interview with an old-time Adelaide rocker - Phil Manning or Peter "Biggles" Beagley maybe, recounting how Berry, who traveled without a backing band, used local talent at every concert. In Adelaide it was the James Wright Group. His only instructions were to lay down a 4/4 beat, no fancy stuff, don't show off. It may not have been a ton of fun for the boys, but notable if someone can find a reference. Doug butler (talk) 06:16, 25 June 2024 (UTC)
