We need to add more to this article. If anyone can, that would be great! Michel Foucault references alot of people in his book, Madness and Civilization. This guy is one of the random physicians he talks about. As I read the book, I'm trying to find out why he feels justified in referring to these people by last name only, without giving any background as to who they were. I'm trying to verify his information, and if it turns out bad, perhaps write a critique one day. In any event, its fun research!
