Thanks

Jacob Greaves height

[edit]

I am the uncle of Jacob Greaves. Over the last few years I have had to amend his height from 6ft 1 inches to his correct height of 6ft 4 inches (1.93)on numerous occasions. I have had to do this again today. Whenever I do this various people keep changing his height back to 6ft 1 inches. I have no idea why or where they are getting this information from. I would love to know their source as I can assure you he is definitely 1.93m tall. If you look on the transfer market site you will see his correct height of 1.93m. Happy to discuss. I understand that his height information was obtained from the official PL app. I have today emailed them to ask them to amend their records. Andy VVV (talk) 18:27, 11 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

I am constantly changing his height to the correct height of 1.93m and you have now protected the access. The source of your information (PL apps) no longer shows his height. However the transfer market site does show his correct height. Please correct his height to 1.93m. Thank you Andy VVV (talk) 12:59, 25 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Transfermarkt is considered unreliable so you need a more reliable source. Keith D (talk) 15:33, 25 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. PianoDan (talk) 22:18, 25 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want made. I'm also not sure if league runners-up are generally listed in the "Honours" section. Day Creature (talk) 01:55, 9 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
Thanks for your quick response. This information has already been added to the honours section for his Ipswich teammates (including George Hirst, Leif Davis and Dara O’Dhea) with a link. Unfortunately I’m not sure how to add the source. Thanks Andy VVV (talk) 08:06, 9 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
Done See HELP:REFB for information on how to cite sources. Day Creature (talk) 15:21, 9 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
Thank you for your help.
i wonder if you can help me on another matter. Various people have been trying to correct Jacob Greaves height to his correct height over the past few years. He is 6ft 4inches tall and not 6ft 1inch. I understand your source is the PL app and I have message them to correct their site. I see that Keith D has messaged them in the past. Is there any other way of changing this? Andy VVV (talk) 20:19, 9 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
Not unless that site changes it or another reliable source can be found. Day Creature (talk) 21:29, 9 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
Thanks. Transfermarkt has his correct height. Is that a reliable source? Andy VVV (talk) 23:00, 9 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
Afraid not. See WP:TRANSFERMARKT. Day Creature (talk) 01:02, 10 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
