"Conspiracy Theory"

[edit]

Nowadays I cringe whenever I read 'conspiracy theory'. Could one not simply say that this is testimony of a person that reflects his version of events? --197.168.231.241 (talk) 12:38, 2 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

Not if the reliable sources say it is a conspiracy theory. Wikipedia cares about sources and not about your feelings. --Hob Gadling (talk) 17:15, 2 March 2021 (UTC)Reply

Phrase Disambiguation is needed

[edit]

Phrase: "Armed with this theory, Brafman began writing vehemently against the qahal and Jewish organisations more generally. Brafman worked on studying Jewish community books of the qahal from Minsk from the years 1794 and 1833, with his own commentary added to try and prove his thesis; at the same time the Rabbinical Seminary of Vilna was providing their own Russian translation. The combination of the poor translation and overt editing of Brafman led many to doubt the authenticity of these documents, but their authenticity received independent verification in 1875" It is absolutely not clear whose documents's "authenticity received independent verification" in your view: the one of Rabbinical Seminary of Vilna or the one of Brafman? Since Brafman had a conspiracy theory phrase "authenticity received independent verification" of Brafman documents's would appear as attempt of legitimizing his theory. Even if you like his theory you would not admitt your bigotry in the open IMHO. :=)))))))) ~2025-41329-11 (talk) 16:10, 17 December 2025 (UTC)Reply

Phrase "The evidence of the qahal's existence, beyond the documents provided by Brafman, was in Jewish success."Again your phrase appears to support his claim. But just adding one word you can avoid being blamed in partiality in this issue: "The evidence of the qahal's existence, beyond the documents provided by Brafman, was allegedly in Jewish success." ~2025-41329-11 (talk) 16:27, 17 December 2025 (UTC)Reply
