Does anyone know how to change the name of a page without breaking all of the links?

JILA ceased to be the Joint Institute for Laboratory Astrophysics many years ago when the institute fired most of their Astrophysicists. Now its just JILA. --Kramer 20:33, 26 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

You need an administrator to move a page to an already occupied name. Usually you go to Wikipedia:Requested moves for that, but I just went ahead and did it. Laura Scudder 21:10, 3 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
If "JILA" no longer stands for anything, then it is not an acronym, and should be rendered:
Jila
It is now nothing other, or more, than a name. JohndanR (talk) 22:02, 4 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Marketing Material?

[edit]

Why does this Wikipedia page read like a marketing brochure? I was looking for info that could help me get a feel for the current legitimacy of JILA. DJayCherry (talk) 07:37, 16 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
