Italy recently participated in the T20I Cricket World Cup 2026. The Italian team played 4 T20I WC matches, and won 1 against Nepal by 10 wickets. Sources:

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want made. Please detail the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. This could potentially be mentioned at Sport in Italy, but likely isn't significant enough to mention in the main country article. Day Creature (talk) 18:21, 12 July 2026 (UTC)
Is Rome Italy's largest city? Probably not
[edit]Rome is the largest municipality and as an Italian citizen myself I can confirm Rome is generally perceived as the largest city. However, this perception is largely distorted by the fact amministrative boundaries of Rome include large part of its urban area while the ones of Milan and Naples include only a smaller and more central zone. According to the United Nations Population Division, which is the most authoritative and leading reference body globally, the most populous city in Italy is Naples, followed by Milan, and, in third position, Rome. I am not sure how we could include this in the article but I think UNPD reports should be taken into account more than administrative boundaries. Piccionaia (talk) 12:49, 24 July 2026 (UTC)
- The thing is...administrative boundaries are more certain than metropolitan areas, as the latter vary depending on the definition. I have to say, I am not familiar with the notion of Naples being the biggest metropolitan area, whereas I know there is debate about Rome or Milan. In any case, I think we could remove the reference to the "biggest city population" altogether if it's an issue. It would read something like "Italy's capital city is Rome, other importan cities are...etc etc".Barjimoa (talk) 15:13, 24 July 2026 (UTC)
- Agree on removing the statement on the biggest city altogether, as it is anyway debatable. Piccionaia (talk) 17:40, 24 July 2026 (UTC)
