Is the 'Renaissance and humanism' section necessary? It's very general as it stands and if staying will need further citations. Lysimache (talk) 13:18, 28 March 2018 (UTC)Reply

Error? re Isotta and Guarino

[edit]

Re the sentence: "In 1438, after receiving praise from Guarino da Verona, Nogarola wrote him a letter, calling him a "wellspring of virtue and probity." She likened herself to a Cicero to his Cato, and a Socrates to his Plato." NB: Guarino was MUCH older than Isotta. Cicero and Socrates were older than Cato and Plato, respectively. Therefore, shouldn't this sentence read: 'She likened herself a Cato to his Cicero, and a Plato to his Socrates.' ????
