El Nuevo Día

[edit]

The question came up regarding the noteworthiness of mentioning Ironmouse in with El Nuevo Día, the largest newspaper in Puerto Rico. The editor that insists its inclusion touts it is a big deal, though she was interviewed by even larger newspaper, the Washington Post, which this article heavily cites from. While I could have seen its inclusion if it was the biggest newspaper to date, it is not at this point; the only noteworthiness is the fact that it was a Spanish paper, in Puerto Rico. Nothing else from the article is actually quoted/referenced, just the fact Ironmouse was mentioned. My recommendation is to simply remove it, unless something new in the article can be used from it; however to avoid an edit war, I encourage other editors to weigh in on this. Thank you. --WashuOtaku (talk) 11:54, 15 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

I agree completely. While there may be notable information within the El Nuevo Dia interview that merits inclusion, the interview itself is not notable.-- Ponyobons mots 21:02, 18 July 2023 (UTC)Reply

Citation

[edit]

Are citation from sites like YouTube and Twitter allowed in this page? I saw people using those kinds of citation in Neuro Sama page for many of its sources. Catlover6999 (talk) 14:52, 26 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Yes; however, if they are from the first-person and not a third-person, it cannot be even a third of the total references on page. Wikipedia prefers third-party from repeatable sources; any page that is lacking in that department will make the Wiki Gods angry. --WashuOtaku (talk) 17:19, 26 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
yea I was seeing many first party youtube and twitter citation in there so I was confused whether it was allowed or not. Catlover6999 (talk) 15:54, 14 October 2024 (UTC)Reply

Discography

[edit]

There are several items listed that are just direct links to YouTube as references. Editors should make an effort to find third-party references for these items and not directly from the main source. --WashuOtaku (talk) 17:43, 21 February 2025 (UTC)Reply

Club Ironmouse

[edit]

There seems to be some disagreement over whether Club Ironmouse should be included in the career section. I suggest editors discuss this here rather than edit war over it (not that any edit warring has occured so far).

Pinging involved editors: @Washuotaku, @Catlover6999. Chess enjoyer (talk) 22:00, 27 October 2025 (UTC)Reply

So the issue with Club Ironmouse is that it does not appear to be any different from past Ironmouse events; she has had several now and the only difference here being a larger guest list. The edit itself appears to only be a copy/paste from the reference source, just providing the date and list of guests. Again, there is nothing unique about the event compared to previous events nor did anything happened during the event that warrants it to be part of the Wiki article. Thus, I do not see the relevance of including it... of course, maybe I a missing something which another editor could help explain. --WashuOtaku (talk) 01:14, 28 October 2025 (UTC)Reply
I think the major difference between her past events and club ironmouse is that she has never hosted a concert before with such variety of guests, while she has taken part in different cons. And also one of the major uniqueness of this event is the level of collaboration between hololive(which in the past were restrictive of this level of collaboration), indies and pop singers like BBNO. Ofc the content could have been better, but not including such a major event in her career would overlook how significant this event was in showing her influence in the vtuber community.
