Update
[edit]This article needs to be updated. The ITBS and ITED tests, as of 2012, have been replaced by the Iowa Assessments. You can read more about the tests here: http://itp.education.uiowa.edu/ia/default.aspx and here is a newspaper article to back up my claim: http://thegazette.com/2011/08/28/iowa-assessments-set-to-replace-itbs-ited/ — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bennythebaker96 (talk • contribs) 14:54, 15 September 2014 (UTC)

- Are the Iowa Tests of Basic Skills still done, or have they all been replaced by Iowa Assessments? 2603:6000:C305:78DF:21DD:408B:CA6D:2724 (talk) 04:39, 26 June 2024 (UTC)
Accuracy & Validity
[edit]As with other standardized tests, how valid & accurate are the Iowa Assessments in measuring student knowledge, critical-thinking skills, & potential for success in either higher education or preparation for entering the labor force? I remember taking the Assessment (or whatever it was called nearly 5 decades ago) in 10th & 11th grade & being told my weakest area was reading comprehension (although I scored in the 80th or 90th percentile), only to take the SAT my senior year (i.e., 12th grade) & get my strongest or 2nd-strongest ranking in reading comp. 69.42.21.9 (talk) 06:41, 13 May 2025 (UTC)
