Edit request 5 November 2025

[edit]

Description of suggested change:

Italicize intifada in title and in lead, as they're being used as words as words.

Partly done. I did it in the lead but Im pretty sure doing it for the title would mean a move request. NotJamestack (talk) 12:44, 5 November 2025 (UTC)Reply

Description of suggested change: The phrase "The phrase and those associated with it have caused controversy, particularly concerning their impact and connotations. Critics have said that it encourages widespread violence or terrorism." at the end of Israeli–Palestinian conflict heading has three references; and all three are Jewish-based. I don't know the specific Wiki rule that advises against this but I think at least one independent source should be provided after that sentence.

 Not done: it's not clear what changes you want made. Please detail the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. If you would like additional sources to be added, please provide them. Day Creature (talk) 16:26, 3 January 2026 (UTC)Reply
What changes I want made is pretty clear. Someone put a controversial statement there without citing any unbiased sources; I want you to either delete the statement, provide unbiased citations, or add something like {{undue weight}} to the end of the statement. Edit requests are for specific, uncontroversial changes only. You have not specified exactly what change should be made, but have instead suggested three different possible changes, some of which may be controversial and require prior consensus. Start by picking one, and we'll take it from there. Day Creature (talk) 17:13, 3 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

The phrase

  • "The phrase and those associated with it have caused controversy, particularly concerning their impact and connotations. Critics have said that it encourages widespread violence or terrorism."

at the end of Israeli–Palestinian conflict heading has three references; and all three are Jewish-based. I don't know the specific Wiki rule that advises against this but I think at least one independent source should be provided after that sentence. Therefore, {{undue weight}} should be put there unless someone is willing to provide any other sources. Diff:

Critics have said that it encourages widespread violence or terrorism.
+
Critics have said that it encourages widespread violence or terrorism.{{undue weight}}

 Not done: I've added a source from Al-Jazeera instead of the undue tag. — Rtrb (talk) (contribs) 19:28, 3 January 2026 (UTC)Reply

[edit]

There is a 0 at the start of the text in the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict section. I suggest changing it to remove that 0. QQQse (talk) 05:16, 10 February 2026 (UTC)Reply

Please remove all references to the Easter rising. References to the Easter rising are inappropriate and this is a revision of history of a non Arabic speaking countries that predates the first intafada and shows an immense disrespect to those who died in the beginning of our state, the Easter rising was a declaration of independence, and the first dTe of statehood for Ireland, not just a simple resistance movement. Co-opting of our history for the purposes of a particular word is a disgrace. ~2026-13022-40 (talk) 22:39, 27 February 2026 (UTC)Reply
