I'm removing a paragraph that implies gravitational wave communication may be coming soon (or the scientific consensus is changing about this possibility) because we recently detected gravitational waves. That's an implication that is not in the source material. Also, it is an absurd idea on its face, because the gravitational waves we detected were from colliding neutron stars... so unless you have a couple of those in your garage, you're not going to be using gravitational waves for interstellar communication.
