"Spruce wing structure"? I presume that's supposed to mean the spar. Can somebody with a source check & correct? Trekphiler (talk) 16:45, 16 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

First to be attacked? That doesn't sound quite right, based on the Wikipedia article on Cornelia Fort. First, or among the first, to encounter Japanese planes, yes. According to that article, she saw a military plane coming toward her, grabbed the controls from her student, and pulled up to avoid it. This sounds more like what was depicted in the movie, "Tora! Tora! Tora!", where the Japanese pilots gave her a fishy stare but did not attack. She then, in real life, quickly landed near Pearl Harbor, which may not have been such a great idea, and her plane was attacked on the ground; but this article makes it sound somewhat as if she was attacked in the air. "First to encounter" would be more accurate. 66.215.34.6 (talk) 23:53, 27 July 2016 (UTC)Reply
