KY 841 and the re-signing coming up

[edit]

Two things:

I made a map that shows the fact that neither Kentucky nor Indiana has actually signed their connecting section of I-265 yet. This is useful as the article is a conglomeration of what usually would be three articles. The previous map had highlighted the non-I265 KY 841 segment, so I put that back in. I know the wording in the caption is confusing as it mentions KY 841 twice, feel free to fix it.

Furthermore, Indiana has announced that they (and Kentucky) will over the next two years renumber and rename the 2019 addition to I-265. I added a reference and a sentence.

Based on the exit numbers which are on that referenced page, it appears that Kentucky will be rezero-ing everything from the beginning of I-265 at I-65; if I personally suspect they will truncate KY 841 to be the western 10.25 miles of the Snyder Freeway possibly even redesignate it as KY 1934. I have no citations for this, so it it is not in the article.

However, if that happens I think the SR 265 and KY 841 sections/infoboxes should be culled to be a few history paragraphs and give then KY 841 its own page.

Regardless, fixing the map after the renumbering will be easy, manually edit the first version of the geoJSON file which didn't have the western KY 841 and search for all the "stroke" colors and change them to be #cc0000 (aka red) KelleyCook (talk) 03:29, 9 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

End points

[edit]

Should the end point be changed from "west end" and "south end", to "counterclockwise (CCW) end" and "clockwise (CW) end"? Since it is neither entirely east-west nor entirely north-south. NintendoTTTEfan2005 (talk) 03:22, 4 November 2023 (UTC)Reply
