Children's Choice Booklist
[edit]I was turned on to this organization (the International Reading Association) when I read an article in which a member of the association criticizes the Newbery committee because the books chosen for the Newbery Medal and the Newbery Honor are not the sorts of books that kids like to read. He compared the American Library Association's Notable Book list with the International Reading Association's Children's Choice list and found only a 5% overlap. Well I thought that was very interesting, and so I wanted to see this list, and maybe add it to this Wikipedia page, but the list is only available to subscribers. --ErinHowarth (talk) 18:36, 3 March 2009 (UTC)

Name change
[edit]Do we know when (and maybe why) the change of name from International Reading Association to International Reading Association occurred? In this article the change was made in September 2016, but with the comment that the page was "extremely outdated", so may have been made by the association itself earlier.
