I've tagged this article for POV and sourcing problems. The article is sourced entirely on representations by the organization in question, and it shows. A neutral-third party source is needed for the content of this article; statements by the organization touting itself or even describing its activities without further context should be removed. New ICMPD Article

[edit]

The article was obviously revised. The information given in the article is based on a source of the UN Refugee Agency which seems to be a reliable source. According to a handbook given an overview of the international organizations in Vienna provided by the City of Vienna (see http://www.wien.gv.at/politik/international/publikationen/pdf/handbuch.pdf, page 40), the International Centre for Migration Policy Development (ICMPD) is an official non-intergovernmental international organization and is non-profit oriented. Therefore I would suggest leaving the article online. (Loestr (talk) 14:12, 13 September 2011 (UTC))Reply

Article, a puff piece

[edit]

A review of the few editors creating this article shows, the article clearly was created or edited by editor(s) connected to ICMPD, a puff piece, in violation of Wikipedia's terms of use. plus it is poorly source in large parts unsourced, which I will flag. The first editor was even blocked. Wuerzele (talk) 23:15, 22 May 2023 (UTC)Reply

Possible AI-generated text

[edit]

Concerns were raised previously via tag about AI-generated content in this article, which is prohibited per WP:NEWLLM. This is a procedural talk page section to discuss it. There is no need to ping me in response. Read WP:AISIGNS for more information for why this is tagged; however, note that fixing the issue requires more than just changing the superficial signs.

Rationale: this 2025 rewrite, note WP:AISIGNS in superficial analyses, vocab distribution typical of 2025 LLMs etc Gnomingstuff (talk) 12:42, 23 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
