Is it really a replacement?
[edit]To say that in Therians, the interclavicle has been replaced by the sternum conveys the idea that the former structure gave rise to the latter. If this is not the case, perhaps we should say something like "Therians have instead a sternum..." Aboctok (talk) 17:38, 10 January 2026 (UTC)
