This was posted to the main entry when it should have been on the talk page:

"Checking this site July 9, 2007 after seeing Tony Oxley in a brilliant London concert with Cecil Taylor, William Parker and Anthony Braxton, I guess it is just vanity which prompts me to say Tony and I started Incus and Tony said it had to take in Derek Bailey and Evan Parker. As a journalist writing about jazz, I wanted to give a little back to the music. Other sites talk about Compatible Recording as the name of the company. It was actually Compatible Recording and Publishing, chosen to use the initials as the label to kick straight back against those who used that to refer to the music. In the end, Tony, Evan and Derek decided Incus might be more suitable. I walked away, wishing them well, after about five albums. Too many nights getting home at five in the morning and having to get to work a few hours later. Michael Walters."
