Talk:Income bracket

A lot of advocacy about minimum wage laws focuses on the "inability" of Americans to earn a decent living in the lowest income bracket.

Advocates of increasing the minimum wage want the lowest legally allowable wages set high enough to serve as a "living wage".

Opponents of an increases ofter argue that most people who ever earn a minimum wage do not stay in the lowest income bracket for long. For them, their first job is an entry-level position, and as they gain experience they are able to command higher wages.

Question for other contributors: How can we right about this, without adopting either a pro or con position? Is there a way to describe the arguments for and against minimum wage laws (and proposals for a higher minimum) - without the article taking sides? --Uncle Ed (talk) 18:21, 28 November 2007 (UTC)
