Debate section

[edit]

The debate section is a classical WP:PROCON with the classic problem of fragmentation of facts. Ideally we instead have an organization of:

Debate:

  • Emissions
    • Overall health
    • Particulates including PM 2.5
    • Ash
      • Degree of hazard
      • In landfills -- how much care is requried?
    • Flue gas heavy metals -- how much is really emitted?
  • Other externalties
    • Power
    • Traffic, visual pollution, jobs, other local community problems.
  • Alternatives
    • Interaction with recycling/reuse/reduce
    • Alternative technologies for destruction of trash

If we presented arguments and studies in each of these sections it would be less prone to getting outdated. But of course that won't happen because nobody bothers to :) Artoria2e5 🌉 12:02, 14 April 2026 (UTC)Reply
