Revisions and corrections

[edit]

Revisions Hi Ahunt I am the class president for the Impulse 21 class. I personally wrote the write up in USsailing . I have be an owner (2) and sailor of the Impulse 21 for 28 years I would like to make corrections. And additions How can I do that without violating the wiki and you rules on revisions ? Let me know please here or by email Thank you Warren Mangan Impulse149.me.com Warren149 (talk) 18:27, 22 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for your note. It is very simple. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia. As explained here all text must be sourced to reliable references so it is verifiable. We don't accept original research or "I know stuff" because it cannot be verified. We also cannot accept copy and pasting entire webpages into our articles, because it is not encyclopedic and also because it is illegal under the US Copyright Act. Only short cited quotations are permitted under US law. You may have written the entry for US Sailing, but they have published it as "Copyright US Sailing. All rights reserved".
I would suggest just listing what you want to add here, along with a reference that supports the text and I can format it and add it to the article if you like. - Ahunt (talk) 18:34, 22 January 2023 (UTC)Reply
