Correction
[edit]I think it must be \theta(x,b) instead of \theta(x,y) at the end of the definition of elimination of imaginaries.

Unique?
[edit]The article currently includes this statement:
- *M has elimination of imaginaries if for every imaginary element a/φ there is a formula θ(x, y) such that there is a unique tuple b so that the equivalence class of a consists of the tuples x such that θ(x, b).
Is uniqueness required? What if its not unique? Would that mean the imaginary cannot be eliminated? Do I prove that imaginaries cannot be eliminated by simply coming up with two b's? ~2026-71591-4 (talk) 06:29, 2 February 2026 (UTC)
