Article should be renamed

After reading 6 of the 8 references listed(the website ones, excluding SA since it requires registration), I struggle to understand why this page should be named "image macro". The phrase appeared exactly 2 times in all of the sources combined. In the WSJ article, the phrase directly links to this article. In the Vox article, it says "image macro (a fancy name for text on picture memes)", and directly links to this article. Note the possibility of WP:REFLOOP. This article should be moved to "internet meme images" or something similar, one other option is "text on image", optionally appending "meme", "(internet culture)", or something similar. 103.66.132.62 (talk) 00:47, 17 October 2024 (UTC)

First-Example feels Unprofessional

The first example being self referential to Wikipedia on a non-wp: article feels pretty unprofessional. I don't know what sort of Image Macros we have available for use but I'm sure there is one that is a better example and isn't unprofessional Portick (talk) 13:52, 23 September 2026 (UTC)
