[edit]Ilaro Sons who participated in the Nigerian civil war include late Major Oye Olurin and Rear Admiral (Engr) AA Adewunmi retd. There is need to distinguish between Compound ( Gia) and Quarters ( Adugbo) For example Iga Papanla is located in Isaledomo Quarters.
Also, among the distinguished sons of Ilaro who have contributed to the development of the town Chief AA Fadayiro was conspicuously missing.
