"Ikwerre" not "Ikwerre-igbo subgroup"

If the classification of Ikwerre as an Igbo language or dialect remains a subject of controversy then statements such as "Ikwerre is a language of the Ikwerre-igbo subgroup" or "Ikwerre an Igbo dialect" and the table at the right hand side of the page are all unnecessary.

Also if according to the passage "The Ikwerre people are fully autonomous from the hegemony of the Igbo people legally, culturally, linguistically and politically" then the Igbo topics at the External Links subsection at the bottom of the page is also unnecessary and should be replaced with "Ethnic groups in Nigeria" topic. Mutual Intelligible

In linguistics, mutual intelligibility is a relationship between different but related language varieties in which speakers of the different varieties can readily understand each other without prior familiarity or special effort. Spanish and Portuguese are mutually Intelligible but are different languages. This greatly applies to the language of the Ikwerre People known as Iwhuruohna and that of Igbo. Number of speakers

The number of speakers indicated in the article has gone frome "200,000 cited 1973" (as in Ethnologue) to 1.2 million without a date or reference (13 February 2021), to 2 million without a date or reference (13 November 2022), to 3 million without a date or reference (24 August 2024). Even https://joshuaproject.net/languages/ikw, which likely estimates the number of speakers based on Ethnologue’s 1973 estimate multiplied by demographic growth, is giving a much lower number of 717000 speakers. @Ikwerrespace: Could you provide a reference for the current estimate ?
