Thesiger

Someone had noted, correctly, that much of the material used in this article came from Wilfred Thesiger's Arabian Sands, a book written about his exploration of the Empty quarter in the late 1940s. The text comes from his account of being detained in Saudi Arabia by Ikwhan for entering without King Abdullah Ibn Saud's permission and winning release with the help of Abdullah Philby. However, the text misquoted Thesiger in one significant point (Thesiger said conformity with Islam rather than conformity of Islam). I corrected the misquote and added a citation to ThesigerGaintes (talk) 16:31, 10 October 2009 (UTC)

Which version is corrrect?

The following article contain two very different sets of statistics describing the battles in August, 1924.

Clumsy wording (Intro)

In the intro: "The newly Islamicized Bedouin...". I'm pretty sure those Bedouins were already Muslim before their encounter with the "Wahhabi religious militia" - Arabian Bedouins were Islamicized c. the 7th century. Can we change the wording to, perhaps "newly Wahabbized", "newly radicalized", "newly acquired to the cause" or such like? Bessoun marrit (talk) 07:34, 3 April 2016 (UTC)
