Just going to leave this here that there's a common misconception that boiling water before freezing it gives clear ice by removing dissolved gases; it seems like this only clarifies the ice somewhat but not totally. Edderiofer (talk) 05:42, 10 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

The photograph at the top of the page is also used as the example for fake ice cubes on the "Food photography" article. (They look like fake ice cubes, too.) If so, then they should not be used as the page photo here claiming they are real. Complication is that at the source it is NOT explicitly labeled fake. But they are either real or fake, so one way or another the photo is misleading on one of the two pages and should be either removed from (or relabeled) here or removed from the "Food photography" article. ~2026-48039-04 (talk) 18:04, 4 September 2026 (UTC)Reply
