[edit]I understand there might be a roiling debate in the cardiac research community over the role(s) of Isl1, but perhaps wikipedia should not be contradicting itself within the one article about whether the protein is a marker or not? It would be best just to state that Isl1 is necessary for formation of the secondary heart field and remove the rest of the cardiac development section altogether until the evidence is more conclusive one way or the other.129.78.233.210 (talk) 04:16, 15 February 2013 (UTC)
