Cross tabulation

I spent a day in the late 60's producing "cross tablulations" (what we know in excel as a "pivot table") for a sociologist using this or a similar machine. Apparently that was how it was done at the time. I went home that night and wrote a short Fortran program (about 100 lines I think) that performed the same work, wrote up some simple use instructions, gave it to her and said something like, "use this and you will not need me anymore".
