I just found this article and have added a couple of cites.

RE: notability, it probably should be merged into a 'variations' page treating all the less-notable backgammon variations. Something like http://www.bkgm.com/variants/ although it's not worth my time to reproduce that site here. Mr. Swordfish (talk) 20:20, 2 September 2014 (UTC)Reply

Confusing

The article states: "Coming out in 1991, Hypergammon was and is known to be part of an online computer application." What does this mean? Known by whom? Why both present and past tense? Why just a part of an application?
