Preferred IUPAC name
[edit]The Template:Chembox part of the page displays "1-Hydroxyacetone" as the preferred IUPAC name of this compound. However, the section P-64.2.1.2 of the Blue Book says "For use in general nomenclature, only the names acetone and 1,4-benzoquinone, together with naphthoquinone and anthraquinone with locants, are retained with substitution on the corresponding structures. [...] Substitutive names, systematically constructed, are the preferred IUPAC names for ketones (see P-64.2.2)". So, shouldn't "1-Hydroxypropan-2-one" be the preferred IUPAC name of hydroxyacetone?
