I changed "alcohol functional group" to "hydroxyl functional group", since the term alcohol is not appropriate for inorganic chemistry, where the hydroxy prefix is sometimes applied. --Matt Stoker
suggest move/merge
[edit]Should this page be moved or merged with Hydroxyl, which already encompasses the hydroxyl radical and the OH functional group? In its present form, this article would serve better as a dictionary page. --Zolot 00:55, 7 February 2007 (UTC)
