Bahumono people
[edit]The tribe consists of 8 villages;Ebijakara(Ebriba),Ebom,Ediba,Usumtong,Anong,Igonigoni,Afanfanyi and Abeugo. They are mainly farmers,traders and fishermen. They all speak the kohumono language with slight changes in some words,for example the word èrumuso is replaced by éyenruso by the anong people. They all believe that they migrated from rock of ékpon àruhara in which they claim to be their ancestral home and the believe in Owàzi(Obazi) as the supreme god of creation. The bahumono people had a custom of buying slaves from the neighbouring Igbo tribe which was well followed by the tribes Emmanuel okon269 (talk) 09:56, 15 June 2020 (UTC)
