amino acid count
[edit]I can find no reference to the 21 amino acid length. The Protein Database has it as 24. So in the absence of a reference in the literature to 21 amino acids, I removed that number. Nick Beeson (talk) 22:37, 7 July 2014 (UTC)
- "The full length 24 amino acid version of humanin has the sequence MAPRGFSCLLLLTSEIDLPVKRRA, with four residues cleaved from the C terminal end to form the 21 amino acid mitochondrial version MAPRGFSCLLLLTSEIDLPV." If you remove 4 residues from 24, how do you end up with 21 amino acids peptide? ~2026-17094-16 (talk) 11:29, 27 May 2026 (UTC)
