[edit]I don't see any reason to delete this article; this seems like a program that could be of historical interest, even if it is no longer maintained. It could be merged into a larger article about the history of search engine technology, though, if it's not going to get any longer. -- Beland 12:36, 23 July 2007 (UTC)

- I'm not one of the original developers, but a few weeks ago, I started maintaining the project. In fact, I added international support to it today. I have no translations yet, but I'll be working on obtaining some. The repo is now at [andy5995/htdig] GravityIsForSuckers (talk) 23:09, 19 November 2017 (UTC)
Proposed deletion 2
[edit]I'd prefer that this article not be deleted. I think it is somewhat notable, certain as notable as many other articles in wikipedia. Cxbrx 02:13, 27 September 2007 (UTC)

ht://dig is one of the few Web applications which has had such a long life because it 'just works'. Note that it is the search engine used to index all the pages in the KDE help system. Please do not delete it.

Website offline
[edit]Since the provided URL (www.htdig.org) has "expired on 04/20/2016" (as stated on exactly that site), how to proceed with it? Instead of "website" shouldn't the infobox state "former website" or similar? DrNobody (talk) 10:36, 24 April 2016 (UTC)
