One of his gags
[edit]There is an effect called an acrobatic matchbox where a matchbox magically moves when held in the palm of your hand. A secret gimmick was attached.
He would perform a gag at the FFFF convention. He'd perform the "Invisible Acrobatic Matchbox" and stand behind a table, miming the routine with nothing - absolutely nothing - in his hand.
A friend in the audience would act baffled, and stand up and say "Let me see that!" and grabbed the "invisible" matchbox and go back to his seat. Howie (because he would still be "attached" to the matchbox by the "invisible" gimmick, would be pulled over the table by an unseen force, doing a somersault, landing on the floor, causing great laughter.
