Article name

Recently the article was moved from Howard Saint (aviator) to Howard Saint (RAF officer), I moved it back as Saint was never notable as an RAF Officer, him becoming an ace and his award for of the DSC was with the RNAS, he was later a chief test pilot so really has no notability as a RAF officer. User:Necrothesp has now moved it again, it always seems a bit daft to raise a move request back to the original title it has had since 2009 but thought I would wait for an explanation in case I have missed something notable in his RAF career, thanks. He was an RNAS officer for two years, an RAF officer for about six years altogether and a civilian test pilot for four years. He's only really notable in Wikipedia terms for being an ace (his DSC and being a test pilot wouldn't usually cut it), presumably with kills scored both while an RNAS officer and an RAF officer. I'm happy for him to be moved to Howard Saint (Royal Navy officer), but Howard Saint (aviator) suggests he was notable for being a civilian aviator, which he wasn't. Usually we disambiguate British people notable only for their military achievements using their service and I'm not sure why we should make an exception here. I actually didn't realise I'd moved it before until after I moved it this time - I often move articles on British servicemen with inappropriate disambiguators. -- Necrothesp (talk) 15:04, 5 November 2013 (UTC)

I am not sure we will agree on this all his wins for being an ace are during his naval service, he was chief test pilot of a major aircraft company which would be notable enough for a wikipedia article without him being an ace, certainly would never think that aviator was specific to civilians. That said perhaps a compromise would be to move him, to Howard Saint without a disambiguator, the only other Howard Saint was a fictional character without an article (it redirects to a film), do you have a view on that? I really don't think being chief test pilot for four years would make him notable enough without considerable further cited coverage. I didn't say "aviator" was specific to civilians; I said that it is normal practice to disambiguate servicemen using their service.
