Name spelling

[edit]

Shouldn't this page be titled Houston Buffalos, with no "e"? 49242guy (talk) 13:53, 22 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

Possibly, but there have been two spellings. The one for Wikipedia should probably be the spelling most strongly associated with the team. I have added the alternate spelling to the lead and have added a redirect from Houston Buffalos. Danorton (talk) 18:32, 23 November 2014 (UTC)Reply

Allen Russell

[edit]

No mention of Allen Russell in the history of the Buffs??? Please research/review and add his contributions.

Thank you,

Kami Russell  Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:2C1:8702:2540:4981:26C7:8653:5A98 (talk) 00:32, 8 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

Astros' name

[edit]

The article says the Astros were named after the Astrodome; isn't that the other way around? The Colt .45s became the Astros because of NASA being headquartered in Houston, and thus when the new stadium was beingn built it was called the Astrodome. The article makes no mention of the basic fact that having NASA come to Houston was behind the team name change and stadium name.  Preceding unsigned comment added by Skellyf (talkcontribs) 16:48, 16 February 2022 (UTC)Reply
