Functions he had

[edit]

Hello ! If you read the article wrote by "Ronald SMOTHERS" , one of the source of this article on Wikipedia.
You know that he was the member of many organisations.

The article on Wikipedia mention only two function when I'm writing these lines.

When he was "president of the Uptown Chamber of Commerce" and when he was a "Co-chairperson of the National Conference of Black Lawyers".

Do you think that we should add more ? I think that we should do it without being exhaustive. Anatole-berthe (talk) 21:04, 19 April 2025 (UTC)Reply

Founder of "Barbados Labour Party"

[edit]

Hello ! When I'm writing these lines. I can't found a "secondary source" saying he was one of the founders.

If he was one of the founders. I'd like to add a source.

I can only found a source that isn't "independent" and "reliable" because this is the official website of this political party : https://blp.org.bb/the-legacy/

From my point of view. We can't quote the website of a political party in an article of Wikipedia for a statement like this.

Also , I found a text wrote in "Barbados Today" a mainstream newspapper that is a generally "reliable" source in my knowledge.
I think we can't quote the text because the tone of the text is clearly pro-BLP and therefore this text is not "independent".

The text with the title "BLP has returned to its roots . . ." was wrote by "David Comissiong" published on "JAN/26/2022" : https://barbadostoday.bb/2022/01/26/blp-has-returned-to-its-roots/

If someone know a secondary source , independent and reliable. I'm interested to add it in the article. Anatole-berthe (talk) 21:40, 19 April 2025 (UTC)Reply
