The Name 'Hoop-La' - where from?
[edit]Isn't Hoop-La the name for the fairground game where you throw rings and try to get them to encircle pegs or other prize objects?
Clara Bow (Lou) when gambling her ring "worth $100", early in the movie, exclaims "Hoop-La!", as she throws the dice down. For luck. It may be her relating to the game, when throwing.

It's a term Lou (Bow) uses while playing dice, an attribute of her character (Lou) in the movie. She's a gambler. The love interest in the movie, is the result of a bet.

circus is "Gowdy Big city show" -- same circus as in the musical "side show" (1931)
