Article issues and reassessment

[edit]
This article may have been prematurely assessed.
  • Citations: The criteria #1 states; The article is suitably referenced, with inline citations. It has reliable sources, and any important or controversial material which is likely to be challenged is cited.
  • The criteria includes The article is reasonably well-written.. The list of categories includes "Articles with disputed statements..." and "Articles containing potentially dated statements" which does not seem indicative of "well-written. The article has been reassessed pending the resolution of issues. -- Otr500 (talk) 23:36, 10 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
The wikitable in the "Corporate profile and divisions" as well as the layout of the "US sales" and Production numbers wikitables leaves too much blank screen so could be better organized. It seems to me that there just are too many Illustrations. -- Otr500 (talk) 06:49, 12 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
No problem with the re-assessment. But why is whitespace evil? Clarity is better than density.  Stepho  talk  09:21, 12 February 2023 (UTC)Reply
Reply: I just feel that a layout can be presented that doesn't have big blank ("whitespace") areas. Of course, clarity is optimum but an option that includes clarity, while not having wasted space, would seem to be better. I am not really proficient at adjusting the layout so it would be a time-intensive experiment. Thanks for the comments, -- Otr500 (talk) 18:41, 13 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

There are six entries in the "External links". Three seems to be an acceptable number and of course, everyone has their favorite to add for four. The problem is that none is needed for article promotion.
  • ELpoints #3) states: Links in the "External links" section should be kept to a minimum. A lack of external links or a small number of external links is not a reason to add external links.
  • LINKFARM states: There is nothing wrong with adding one or more useful content-relevant links to the external links section of an article; however, excessive lists can dwarf articles and detract from the purpose of Wikipedia. On articles about topics with many fansites, for example, including a link to one major fansite may be appropriate.
  • WP:ELMIN: Minimize the number of links. -- Otr500 (talk) 06:36, 12 February 2023 (UTC)Reply

2011 Honda odyssey

[edit]

hello i would like to know how to permanently fix the leak from the VV-TEC solenoid, this year alone (2023) i have had to replace the alternator 4 times and also had the gasket replaced 2 times and yet there is still a leak. its only june!!! i'm scared to think how many more i will have to buy this year. PLEASE make this a recall thing so that hard working individuals like me dont have to spend every last dollar on fixing our vehicles every month. 192.186.111.194 (talk) 19:05, 12 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

It would be best to ask about it at a dedicated automotive forum rather than here. See WP:TALK#TOPIC for details. Blake Gripling (talk) 02:40, 13 June 2023 (UTC)Reply

Why no symbol?

[edit]

Shouldn't the Honda symbol be included at least somewhere on the page? Honda_Canada This is the closest I could find. Epicazowski (talk) 13:26, 21 May 2026 (UTC)Reply

CR-V photo

shiny

There is a mini edit war over a photo of the 6th gen CR-V. As per WP:BRD, I will restore the original state of the article. After discussion we will edit the article to reflect consensus found here.

  • The "side-view" image was the original. It is kind of bland and has a vehicle of the same colour behind it. Mostly a side on view instead of the preferred 3/4 view. However, the shape is still easy to see, including both the front and side and is easily distinguishable from the other vehicle. Not a great photo but passable.
  • The "shiny" photo is being pushed as it's replacement. It is also grey but has many shadows and reflections which hide the shape.. The window tint also blends into the colour of the body. It is a 3/4 view but it favours the front - the shape of the side is very hard to make out. The vehicle behind is the same colour and the same angle - it is hard to see where one vehicle stops and the other begins. Overall, a very poor photo.

Comments? Suggestions for removal of both images or use a different image?  Stepho  talk  01:21, 13 June 2026 (UTC)Reply

The original image is better because the shiny one was done by a user who was evading blocks. Malgosha (talk) 01:31, 13 June 2026 (UTC)Reply
