The actual quote is "If you want a vision of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face - forever." I have no idea where 70.24.10.146 got their quote, but it's not right, it's not attributed, and I'm taking it out. Emoticon (talk) 18:54, 5 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Deletion

[edit]

Two things were removed from the article. The first was a remark about characters being described as wearing hobnail boots to indicate toughness. This is textbook original research, and has no place in an article.

The second was a long list of utterly trivial mentions of hobnail and hobnail boots. None of these has any importance whatsoever, and their presence adds nothing to an encyclopedic treatment of the subject. It's a a mixed bag of characters that wear such boots (is it worth mentioning that a character wears a hat in the hat article? Of course not), and mere mentions of the word. I am aghast that these have persisted so long. Mintrick (talk) 05:57, 14 June 2009 (UTC)Reply
