Whose joint?
[edit]According to Bill Gunston's book "World Encyclopaedia of Aero Engines", p.77 (1989, Patrick Stephens Ltd, ISBN 1-85260-163-9) the coupling was devised not by Hellmuth Hirth but Albert Hirth. According to Gunston, Albert was Hellmuth's brother, but the German Wiki has him as Hellmuth's father. Anyone know more? TSRL (talk) 09:10, 14 June 2010 (UTC)
Noise

- "The application of Hirth joing in bicycle crank are prone to creaking due to side-to-side frame flexing."
is problematic for at least two reasons:
- There is no reliable source.
- The few blog entries on the topic that I can find do not identify the cause.
