As of June 2026, there are 27 species
[edit]@Sjl197 Hi there! Has any change occurred in the source? Was it wrong before? Also, pretty sure you didn't mean to anticipate the future when you changed 9th month 2025 to 6th month 2026 in the as of template. EnjoyLightEnjoyTruth (talk) 00:52, 25 January 2026 (UTC)
- @EnjoyLightEnjoyTruth Thank-you for concern. Please notice that the source link was, and still is functional (to "wsc" where i revised the access date in the given reference). So i'm not sure why you're asking me has any change occurred in the source when you or anyone could check it to see if it now contains those additional three species which i had added. You can still follow that link, or go through this which makes a summary with a count (=WSC summary Hippasa). You are right though that i misfired with "2026|6" in the header date, that should have matched as "2026|1" and indeed so not a future date. Rather than just fixing that obvious mistake (it cannot be a future date and should match the cited source) then I cannot understand why you instead chose to revert my entire edit, removing the three additional species etc when a check of the source (via the existing wiki link to wsc) would have confirmed what the source said. Else, i had removed the count from the link in the taxobox because its redundant AND because in many other taxon pages any count placed there often gets neglected from updates so then is often wrong, to my mind it is better without anything there except the link.
