Billinge - Whatever 'End'

Just for the record. I kept a petrol station in Billinge for two years, in the mid-90's, and an off-licence for eleven years, up until 2005. Yet I never, not once even, heard any of the locals, including my own relatives, refer to "Higher End" as if it was an individual place of that name.
