[ahjulsta]: The article uses wordings like "extremely slow" and "very tedious", about "most stand-alone .. players". Perhaps a moderate wording would be better, but I am no expert.

Agreed... I came to this page to recall details of HighMAT after fixing up some of my old Windows XP machine, and I was curious if my Panasonic DVD player supports it.
