- This article is "hand-made" translation of content of essentials of following book: Wolfgang Zey: Dickstoffpumpen: Aufbau und Anwendung. Verlag Moderne Industrie, Landsberg/Lech 1995 (Die Bibliothek der Technik; Bd. 113) ISBN 3-478-93127-4. Mr. Zey is former chief engineer of manufacturer. The english Wiki-text has been verified by technicians of manufacturer of solids pumps (Putzmeister company, Germany). Upload of media got stuck due to technical problems. Energy expenditure

[edit]I removed the paragraph about the indian "pumpmeister" pumps with a reference link to an individual's linked-in page. The text under single-cylinder pumps still seems suspicious, since there are many other single cylinder pumps
