I have been reviewing my previous edits against the cited sources. In this case the claim is supported, but the current wording "in all newspaper boxing reports" is broader than the source.
Current: As with many Black boxers of his era, his origins remained described inconsistently and vaguely in all newspaper boxing reports.
Suggested correction: As was typical for Black boxers of the period, contemporary newspaper reports described Mosco's origins inconsistently and often inaccurately.
