Geography and Climate final paragraph: The Jiyaguyan fort ... looks like a misspelling of Jiayuguan (= Jiayu gate/pass/fort; referenced in the same sentence). Google maps has no such place; DDG web search results all appear to depend on this paragraph (except one from the University of Colorado: http://www.barnswallowproject.com/barn-swallow-blog/china-up-and-down-the-hexi-corridor.
