I don't think that the following is correct:

In hexagonal sampling, the V matrix assumes the following general form:-

:

V_{hex}={\begin{bmatrix}T1&T2\\T1&-T2\end{bmatrix}}

Using only one direction given by this matrix, i.e. multiplying by (1,0), (2,0), (3,0) ... we would move the sample positions along a 45 degree line. This clearly isn't the case when comparing to the related figure for the hexagonal sampling grid.

The correct form of the matrix is

:

V_{hex}={\begin{bmatrix}T1&T1\\-T2&T2\end{bmatrix}}
