WikiProject Alabama Removal

The Hester Site is located in Monroe County Mississippi, not Alabama and as such is not an Alabama project. Jasgrider 16:42, 2 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

"Consolidation" of links?

[edit]

Those two terms (Woodland and Mississippian periods) do no mean the same thing, see "The term "Woodland Period" was introduced in the 1930s as a generic term for prehistoric sites falling between the Archaic hunter-gatherers and the agriculturalist Mississippian cultures." at the Woodland page and Woodland period#Late Woodland period (500–1000 CE). "Consolidating" them does not eliminate an extraneous or duplicated term, it removes a link to a separate archaeological culture that occupied the site. Having the link makes the article better.
